The Relationship Between Peri-implant Tissue and Prosthesis in the Anterior Area

Peri-implant soft tissue and implant abutments are intimately related. Implant supported restorations have two main objectives: create a protective seal and optimize soft tissue appearance. During this webinar, Dr. Gonzalez-Martín will discuss the importance of the macroscopic design of the prosthesis, as well as the relevance of material choice and surface characteristics to meet these objectives.

Objectives

  • Gain current knowledge in the interaction between peri-implant soft tissue and implant supported prostheses in implant dentistry.
  • Understand the concepts of critical and subcritical contour and the role of provisional modifications in the final appearance of peri-implant soft tissues, including the gingival margin level, gingival architecture and gingival color.
